Ephraim Abbot (1779-1870) was born in Newcastle, Maine. He graduated from Harvard College in 1806 with an AB and from Andover Theological Seminary in 1810 with an AM. He was ordained in Greenland, New Hampshire, in 1813, and served as both a Congregational and Unitarian minister in Greenland, New Hampshire, and Westford, Massachusetts.
